Albert Wily was once a colleague of Dr. Thomas Light, they attended the same university and together made major breakthroughs in the field of Robotics and Artifical Intelligence. Not liking where humanity was going with robots and their treatment of robots and the technology in general, he withdrew from the public eye and instead went into seclusion. He would later start the The Wily Wars after amassing his own Robot Master army.
